The Compassionate Leadership Exchange is your opportunity to meet and network with new people in your field who are interested in compassionate leadership within nursing and midwifery. This is a space to decompress, share and learn.

These will be online sessions, taking place every three months, where people who care about compassionate leadership can come together to connect, share what they are trying and reflect collectively on what is emerging in practice.

When leadership gets hard, what keeps us human?

The first Exchange will take place online on Thursday 17 September between 4pm-5:15pm and will explore When leadership gets hard, what keeps us human?

The Exchange will take place on MS Teams - join via this link.

Francine Lacqua, award-winning Bloomberg anchor and host of 'Leaders with Francine Lacqua', will be our first guest speaker. Francine delves into the scrutiny and pressure leaders face in complex environments, going beyond the headlines to reveal the human side of leadership.

In this Exchange, Francine will explore:

  • What allows some leaders to retain their humanity when the stakes are high
  • What does compassion look like when difficult decisions need to be made?
  • What creates trust rather than simply compliance
  • How people respond when challenged

This will be followed by a discussion with Francine and the group.

If you are unable to join at 4pm or only able to attend for a short period, please do still come along.
